If the Pleasant View Christian Warriors were riding high off their 50-28 takedown of the Hendersonville Christian Academy Crusaders two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Pleasant View Christian's rough 42-16 defeat to Christian Community on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. Pleasant View Christian has not had much luck with Christian Community recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Pleasant View Christian struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Christian Community pulled down 21 offensive rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian Community to victory, but perhaps none more so than A.C. Caverly, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Ray, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Pleasant View Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Christian Community, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-9.
Pleasant View Christian will look to defend their home court on Thursday against South Haven Christian at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully South Haven Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Saturday. Christian Community's road trip will continue as they head out to face Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th.
