The Millard South Patriots are taking a road trip to take on the Millard West Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Millard South will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Millard South had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Omaha South on Monday. The Patriots never let the Packers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Noah Carroll looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Will Thomas was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Jaxson Appuhn was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Millard South always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Omaha South only posted an OBP of .125.
Meanwhile, Millard West faced Millard North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Wildcats walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Mustangs. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Rowen Scholting looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Millard West's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 2-1 (and 5-6 when he doesn't).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kade Skoumal, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI and one double. That double was his first of the season.
Millard South's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Millard West, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.
Millard West's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Millard South hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .341. It's a different story for Millard West, though, as they've only averaged .255. Will they be able to contain Millard South's hitters?
Millard South took their win against Millard West in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a conclusive 17-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
