Sand Creek extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Ethan Mangrum. The Scorpions walked away with a 52-45 victory over the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks on Friday thanks in part to Mangrum, who rushed for 215 yards and four TDs while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 15th straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Cheyenne Mountain lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sam Hawker, who rushed for 92 yards and one score on only ten carries. Another player making a difference was Donovan Sandoval, who rushed for 96 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

Sand Creek's record is now 7-0. As for Cheyenne Mountain, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Sand Creek didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 48-6 win against Gateway on the 17th. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 63-13 victory against Thornton on the 16th.
