The biggest upset of the week belonged to Westhill, who defeated 74th ranked Danbury, 23-22.
New Canaan extended the longest winning streak in Fairfield County this week by beating St. Joseph, 62-21. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Marc Cesare was a force in the backfield as Trumbull fell to Staples.
Nick Cascione threw for 379 yards and 6 touchdowns. He was 20-26 with 0 interceptions.
Griffin Ross was the best receiver in the league this week as Darien defeated Wilton. Ross tallied 15 receptions for 168 yards. Myles Ridder helped Darien's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 30 yards.
The Golden Eagles' Nick Roberts and Thomas Hayduk have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Roberts has thrown for 2,318 yards this season, while Hayduk has 42 catches for 747 yards. Mufasa Abdul-Basir from the Cadets leads the league in rushing with 1,068 yards.
The Blue Wave's Silas Wyper is within 95 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against Harding. So far this year, Wyper has thrown for 1,905 yards with 17 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.
Norwalk's Cliff Joseph needs only 89 yards against Stamford next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 137 carries Joseph has accumulated 911 yard this year.
An important game coming up in Fairfield County this week will be when Ridgefield takes on McMahon. The Tigers are in seventh place, while the Senators are in second place.
Ridgefield took down the Bears 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
