On Thursday, Pungo Christian Academy faced Northeast Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Northeast Academy were fully in charge, breezing past Pungo Christian Academy 48-0. Followers of Northeast Academy probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected five blowout victories.
Northeast Academy added further sheen to their flawless record, now 6-0. The loss dropped Pungo Christian Academy back to even at 3-3.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Northeast Academy take on Halifax Academy at 7:00 PM. Each of these teams will be battling to keep their six-game winning streak alive. As for Pungo Christian Academy, they will face off against Bethel Christian Academy.
