The Steele Comets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bay Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Wednesday, Steele suffered a rough 60-37 defeat at the hands of Olmsted Falls. While losing is never fun, Steele can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while Olmsted Falls is ranked eighth).
Bay lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 67-42 walloping at the hands of Rocky River. Bay has struggled against Rocky River recently, as their contest on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Steele has not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. As for Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.
Steele beat Bay 47-39 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Will Steele repeat their success, or does Bay have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
