Taylor Prep gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hope Christian Academy Hawks a 15-0 shutout. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 8-3 win the Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in June of 2021.

Hope Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taylor Prep will host Trillium Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Hope Christian Academy, they will challenge Henry Ford Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
