There's no place like home for Athenian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on the Cristo Rey De La Salle Mustangs with a sharp 61-40 victory on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Owls, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Athenian had a senior duo take command as Eshaan Anand posted 19 points and Koen Feyock scored 18 points. Brandon Yoo was another key player, putting up nine points.

The win got Athenian back to even at 1-1. As for Cristo Rey De La Salle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Athenian and Cristo Rey De La Salle will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Owls see the court they'll take on Marin Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 4. As for Cristo Rey De La Salle, their break will end when they face Quarry Lane at 5:00 p.m. on December 3.
