Carlisle Christian Academy lost against Varsity Opponent in their previous head to head last Tuesday, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 73-64 score last time.
Carlisle Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabe Kearney, who scored 13 points. Collin Wevodau was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Carlisle Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Varsity Opponent, their win ended a 17-game drought on the road and puts them at 249-932-2.
Carlisle Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Adams County Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Varsity Opponent will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Greenwood Mennonite at 5:30 p.m. on January 13th. Greenwood Mennonite will stroll in with a four game home winning streak, but they should still watch out: the last time they lost at home was their November 28 matchup with Varsity Opponent.
