When it comes to explaining why Landrum lost, one person who can't be blamed is Colton Link. Despite the final result, he rushed for 187 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Titus Poore, who rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown.
Landrum's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-5. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Liberty, Ninety Six, and Chesnee. As for Liberty, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-3.
