Junior Eli Harris was the offensive standout of the match for Halifax Academy, as he rushed for 220 yards and 2 touchdowns. In fact, with 12 tackles Harris was a force on both sides of the ball. Senior Cameron Podruchny was in the mix, too, providing Halifax Academy with 2 touchdowns.
The win bumped Halifax Academy's record up to 4-0. The loss dropped Pungo Christian Academy back to even at 2-2.
Halifax Academy will look to defend their home turf next week against Community Christian at 6:00 PM. Halifax Academy are cruising in on a four-game winning streak while Community Christian are stumbling in off of four consecutive losses. As for Pungo Christian Academy, they will face off against Lawrence Academy. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
