Basketball Recap: Streetsboro Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

With a playoff win on the line, Streetsboro rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They beat the Shaw Cardinals by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 68-11. The Rockets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 31 points or more this season.

Naomi Benson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7-for-10 to rack up 14 points and four steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Raegan Hendon, who posted ten points and five assists.

Streetsboro was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

The victory (which was Streetsboro's eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.8 points over those games. As for Shaw, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.

Looking ahead, Streetsboro will take on Field at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Field will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Streetsboro surely won't give up without a fight. Shaw does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
