The University Bulldogs will head out to take on the Prospect Ridge Academy Miners at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. University will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
University's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Sterling as they made off with a 6-0 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Gage Viken's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, University got a massive performance out of Will Korby, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was Korby's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Medardo Abrego, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: University lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Prospect Ridge Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Denver Christian. Four seems to be a good number for the Miners as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Josiah Bote was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.
University pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.
Everything went University's way against Prospect Ridge Academy in their previous matchup back in May of 2022, as University made off with an 11-0 win. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Miners turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
