The Hough Huskies are taking a road trip to square off against the Ardrey Kell Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hough took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Palisades an 11-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Huskies considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Aubrey Martin made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Reagan Waldau was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Seanna Shivers also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Hough was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palisades only posted a batting average of .067.
Meanwhile, Ardrey Kell got the win against Palisades on Friday by a conclusive 9-1. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Pumas: they've now won nine in a row.
Like Hough, Ardrey Kell also got a great game from a two-way player: Jenna Volturno. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Volturno was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Ardrey Kell got a massive performance out of Leah Roggenbaum, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Roggenbaum has posted since back in March of 2025. Reilly Cusimano was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Hough's record now sits at 12-2. As for Ardrey Kell, their record is now 8-5.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hough hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .362. However, it's not like Ardrey Kell struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
