The Pioneer Panthers lost against the Caston Comets back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Pioneer was dealt a 63-34 defeat at the hands of Caston. Pioneer has not had much luck with Caston recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Among those leading the charge was Talon Zeider, who scored 18 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Caston's points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Stinson, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds.
Pioneer's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Caston, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pioneer's road trip will continue as they head out to face Triton at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Caston, they will face off against Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Carroll is ranked 201st, while Caston is ranked 192nd).
