The Rison Wildcats's game on Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 53-40 win over Junction City. For Rison, this counts as revenge for the 38-37 defeat Junction City walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2016.
It was another big night for Destiny Lea, who scored 19 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Rison's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rerel?? Roshell, who scored 12 points.
Rison has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Junction City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Rison has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Hermitage at 4:30 p.m. on December 11th. As for Junction City, they will head out on the road to face off against Hamburg at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Hamburg presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Junction City in Arkansas (Hamburg is ranked 46th, while Junction City is ranked 239th).
