On Thursday, Goldwater had to suffer through a rough 64-9 loss at the hands of Sahuaro. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Goldwater has scored all season.
Sahuaro got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kristen Valdez out in front who scored 15 points. The game was Valdez's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Biale Sika, who scored ten points.
Goldwater's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Sahuaro, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Goldwater will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Sierra Linda at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Sierra Linda is ranked 229th, while Goldwater is ranked 243rd). Sahuaro won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Desert View at 3:00 p.m. on December 15th.
