Having just played yesterday, the North Polar Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Dayton Greendevils at 1:00 p.m. on December 22nd. North will be strutting in after a win while Dayton will be coming in after a defeat.
North had already won 22 in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points), and they went ahead and made it 23 on Thursday. They blew past Livingston Academy, posting a 70-39 victory at home.
Meanwhile, Dayton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Uniontown 85-50. While losing is never fun, Dayton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 243rd in Kentucky, while Uniontown is ranked 46th in Pennsylvania).
North pushed their record up to 2-0 with that victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Dayton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
