A feisty cat fight will be fought as Hermleigh Cardinals take on Trinity Christian Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hermleigh is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 12 games.
Hermleigh is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 25-8 margin over Lubbock T on Friday. Considering the Cardinals have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Peyton Miller made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (zero). She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Emily Karr was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Hermleigh's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.1 runs over those games. As for Trinity Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7-1 record this season.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hermleigh hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .421. However, it's not like Trinity Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .395. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hermleigh couldn't quite finish off Trinity Christian in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 and fell 5-3. Can Hermleigh avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
