Basketball Recap: Houston Academy Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Elizabeth Liddon and Molly Rutland

Houston Academy was the 42-41 winner over Providence Christian when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Houston Academy Raiders lost to the Providence Christian Eagles on the road by a 45-28 margin on Tuesday. The loss was the Raiders' first of the season.

Despite the loss, Houston Academy had strong showings from Molly Rutland, who posted nine points and five rebounds, and Elizabeth Liddon, who earned five points and six rebounds. Liddon is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Houston Academy fell to 2-1. As for Providence Christian, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Houston Academy will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Ashford at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Providence Christian, they will welcome Rehobeth at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
