There's no place like home for East Union, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  two weeks ago. They blew past the Mountain House Mustangs, posting  a  55-21 win. Considering the Lancers have won six games by more than 33  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
East Union's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Kirk Simoni led the charge by throwing for 187 yards and two  touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Simoni's passing game has become a key predictor of the Lancers' success: the team is 6-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.  Jp Abrew got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.
 East Union was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 254  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 254  rushing yards in three consecutive  contests.
 Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Abrew, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
 Despite the loss, Mountain House still got an impressive performance from   Erin Foster, who rushed for 161 yards and one  score while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 41 receiving yards and one  TD. With that strong performance,  Foster is now averaging an impressive 106  rushing yards per game.
With the  victory, East Union broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-3. As for Mountain House,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-8.
As of now, neither East Union nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
