Ocean Township barely beat Freehold Boro the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Colonials on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

The win was the third in a row for Ocean Township, bringing their record up to 9-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Freehold Boro, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocean Township will challenge Trinity Hall at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Freehold Boro, they will face off against Manalapan at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
