Helias (Jefferson City, Mo.) snapped the five-game winning streak of Kirksville (Mo.), with a 77-0 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter, the Crusaders led 63-0 at the half.
Helias expanded its lead to 70 points entering the fourth quarter. HHS scored once in the quarter on a rushing touchdown.
The Jefferson City school scored 42 points in the second quarter on the way to a win. The Crusaders scored on a touchdown catch by
Hale Hentges, a touchdown catch by Hentges, a rushing touchdown, a passing touchdown, a touchdown catch by Hentges and a touchdown run in the quarter.
Helias had given up an average of 14.9 points prior to the contest. The zero points that the Tigers ended with were well below their average of 25.8 coming into the game.
When the two teams played each other last season, HHS came away with a 54-7 victory.
The loss comes after Kirksville defeated Mexico 12-6 last week.
