The Franklin Indians lost against the Loch Raven Raiders back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Franklin ended up on the wrong side of a rough 54-31 walloping at the hands of the Raiders. Franklin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-9.
Loch Raven had a senior duo take command as Meona Boykin scored 22 points along with five steals and Maya Gordon dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Boykin hasn't dropped below 17 points for three straight games. Destaney Harris was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Franklin and nudges their season record down to 6-10. As for Loch Raven, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.
Franklin will head out on the road to challenge the Bluebirds at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Loch Raven, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Eagles at 12:30 p.m. on February 3rd. North Point is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
