Dexter won the last time they faced St. Vincent and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bearcats had just enough and edged out the Indians 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bearcats have posted since September 2nd.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Dexter got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 20-25, 25-22.

Mauriona Menley paced Dexter's offense, picking up 15 kills. Menley got some help from Brooklyn Goodman and her 18 assists. Mali McBride and Karis Kennedy kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Dexter now has a winning record of 4-3-2. As for St. Vincent, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-4-1.

Dexter has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Winona on the 13th. As for St. Vincent, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Perryville on the 13th.
