Bishop McDevitt has won ten straight games at home (dating back to last season), while State College has won ten straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Crusaders will host the Little Lions at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Friday, Bishop McDevitt humbled Central Dauphin East with a 49-7 victory. With the Crusaders ahead 28-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Nazir Jones-Davis produced another solid performance rushing for 133 yards and four TDs while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Sebastian Williams was another key player, throwing for 214 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 81.2% of his passes.
Bishop McDevitt's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: RJ Duffy, Creighton Miltsch, and Maurice Barnes Jr., who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely State College's strategy against Carlisle on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Little Lions blew the Thundering Herd out of the water with a 58-8 final score. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Little Lions' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Thundering Herd are ranked 386th).
Bishop McDevitt better keep an eye on D'Antae Sheffey. He was instrumental in State College's win, rushing for 140 yards and three scores on only eight carries. Sheffey's longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Kulka, who threw for 184 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: State College was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 243 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 150 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
State College's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Bishop McDevitt, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Bishop McDevitt has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 171.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like State College struggles in that department as they've been averaging 219.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Bishop McDevitt couldn't quite finish off State College when the teams last played back in October of 2024 and fell 58-55. Will the Crusaders have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other football content.
