Rory Hubbard ran for three touchdowns and
Shane Scott added two as well as
Palos Verdes Peninsula (Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.) defeated Leuzinger (Lawndale, Calif.) 38-0 on Saturday.
The lead that the Panthers took on a touchdown with 3:00 left in the first quarter stood up for the duration of the game, as neither team managed to score in the second half.
Palos Verdes Peninsula put up 21 points in the first quarter en route to the win. PVP rushed for three touchdowns on the ground during the quarter, including two by Scott.
The Rolling Hills Estates school came in allowing an average of 24.0 points per game this season.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 58-20 win for the Panthers.
The win was a nice bounce back for Palos Verdes Peninsula, which lost to Redondo Union last week, 42-35.
In a Bay game next week Leuzinger (0-7) takes on Redondo Union, and Palos Verdes Peninsula (4-3) will go up against Mira Costa also in a Bay game.
