The Collins Titans pushed their score all the way to 63 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a rough 88-63 loss at the hands of Larue County. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (56), Collins still had to take the loss.
Leading Larue County to victory were Landon Blakey and Daniel Allen. Blakey dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Allen scored 25 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Harris, who scored 8 points along with 9 assists.
This is the second loss in a row for Collins and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Larue County, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Collins will head out on the road to face off against Beth Haven at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kentucky (Beth Haven is ranked 48th, while Collins is ranked 58th). As for Larue County, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Bullitt East at 7:00 p.m.
