Syracuse Academy of Science gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 85-24 win over Cortland. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-5.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Nottingham's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 70-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Genesee. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Syracuse Academy of Science's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-0. As for Nottingham, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
