Camarillo was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to first in Pacific View. The Scorpions defeated Ventura 26-10 earlier in the week.
Camarillo moved up to 167 from 218 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Dennis Riedmiller's team climbed the ranks as a result of a 26-10 win over the Cougars.
Hueneme's dynamic duo of Adan Salas and Sylas Mottly proved tough for Xavier Prep to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Salas threw for 336 yards and five touchdowns and Mottly had 135 yards receiving. Kendrick Surrell helped Hueneme's passing attack out by catching four balls for 105 yards.
Kado Brown provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Rio Mesa lost to Dos Pueblos. He completed 13 passes for 182 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 230 yards. Brown's favorite target this week was Martel Tyler, who caught three passes for 64 yards.
The Vikings' Salas and Surrell have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Salas has thrown for 1660 yards this season, while Surrell, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 34 catches for 542 yards. Oxnard's Adam Espinosa leads the league in rushing yards with 459.
Channel Islands took down San Marcos 28-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
