Intermountain Christian extended their winning streak to 11 on Tuesday, bumping them up to 11-1. They blew past the Utah Military Academy - Hill Field Thunderbirds 15-5. Considering the Lions have won ten contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Coy White was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three runs.
In other batting news, Caleb Furze and Jonathan Doty did most of the damage at the plate: Furze went 2-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Doty went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave Furze a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Charlie Erickson, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Intermountain Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .346 or higher in six consecutive matchups.
