After both having extra time off, the Lutheran Lions and the Rock Canyon Jaguars will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another  at 8:00  a.m.  on Friday. Lutheran is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last 11 games.
On Thursday, Lutheran was able to grind out a solid  win over Palmer Ridge, taking the game  3-1.
 The final score came out to 25-17, 25-13, 19-25,  25-13.

 Madeline Miller went supernova,  getting 18  digs and nine  assists. Those  18  digs gave  her a new career-high.
 Lutheran  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 11  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least five  aces in seven consecutive  matchups.
If Cherry Creek wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Rock Canyon, they should've done a better job of containing  Elena Paz. The Jaguars walked away with  a   3-1  victory over the Bruins  on Friday thanks in part to  Paz, who  had 12  digs and four  aces. She is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's  played.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16, 16-25,  25-19.
 Lutheran's record is now 16-3. As for Rock Canyon, their record now sits at 17-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Friday's  match:  Lutheran has really dialed in their serving  this season,  having  averaged 8.5  aces per game. However, it's not like Rock Canyon struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 7.8  aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
