The biggest upset of the week belonged to Deshler, who took down 89th ranked Colbert County, 54-28.
Madison Academy was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in 3A Region 8. Earlier in the week, the Mustangs defeated Westminster Christian 49-7.
Clements's Marcus McNaughton and Demarcus Johnson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. McNaughton has thrown for 707 yards this season, while Johnson has 10 catches for 270 yards. West Morgan's Demetrius Warren leads the league in rushing yards with 409.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Wildcats take on Lauderdale County. As it stands, Westminster Christian is in fourth, while the Tigers are in first.
Lauderdale County extended the longest winning streak in 3A Region 8 this week by beating the Rebels, 42-0. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
