The Lamar County Trojans lost against the Social Circle Redskins back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Lamar County took a 56-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Social Circle. Lamar County has not had much luck with Social Circle recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Social Circle can attribute much of their success to Derrick White, who scored 21 points along with 9 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which White has scored at least 25% of Social Circle's points. Ethan Brown was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Lamar County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Social Circle, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar County will challenge Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Social Circle's road trip will continue as they head out to face Salem at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Salem has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 385 points over their last six games.
