The Mt. Rainier Rams lost against the Kentwood Conquerors back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Mt. Rainier fell 56-48 to Kentwood. Mt. Rainier has not had much luck with Kentwood recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Mt. Rainier lost, one person who can't be blamed is Zach Luz. Despite the final result, he scored 27 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Luz scored a full 56.3% of Mt. Rainier's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Kwao, who scored nine points.
Mt. Rainier now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Kentwood, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
Mt. Rainier will challenge Chief Sealth at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kentwood, they will be playing at home against Federal Way at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
