The Richton Rebels won the last time they faced the Collins Tigers, and things went their way on Friday too. Richton enjoyed a cozy 47-31 victory over Collins.
Richton found their leader in underclassman Nylah Robins, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Robins has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kalyjai Bolton, who scored 14 points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Richton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 14-16 record this season. As for Collins, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-19.
Richton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 37-36 defeat vs. Pisgah on the 12th. Collins will head out on the road to square off against Pelahatchie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Collins will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Pelahatchie is ranked 92nd).
