After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Citizens Christian Academy, Valwood was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Crisp Academy Wildcats as the Valwood Valiants made off with a 12-4 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Valiants considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Abi Brooks was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and a triple. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Haidi Vu, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Valwood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
The victory got Valwood back to even at 2-2. As for Crisp Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valwood will face off against Clinch County at 4:00 p.m. on September 4th. As for Crisp Academy, they will host Terrell Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
