Even though the Higley Knights have not done well against the Campo Verde Coyotes recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Higley skirted past Campo Verde 51-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Higley has posted yet this season.
Leading Higley to victory were Donovan Dabney and Noah Gloor. Dabney scored 17 points along with five rebounds, while Gloor scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. Gloor has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Hatcher, who scored nine points.
The win makes it two in a row for Higley and bumps their season record up to 10-8. As for Campo Verde, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Higley will take on Casteel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Casteel has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 321 points over their last five contests. As for Campo Verde, they will be playing at home against Williams Field at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
