The Lynn Bears will be playing at home against the Phillips Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lynn will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Even though Hackleburg scored an imposing 60 points last Friday, Lynn still came out on top. Lynn snuck past Hackleburg with a 66-60 win.
Lynn's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Braylen Roberts, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, and Cale Tittle, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. Roberts hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Cole Kelly, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Phillips suffered their biggest defeat since November 27, 2023 on Saturday. They were outmatched by Hackleburg on the road and fell 79-39.
Lynn's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Phillips, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Lynn won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, slipping by Phillips 65-64. Does Lynn have another victory up their sleeve, or will Phillips turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
