The Mojave Rattlers can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Las Vegas by a score of 69-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Mojave was led to victory by Zacarrion Jackson and C.J. Shaw. Jackson scored 26 points along with nine rebounds and four steals, while Shaw scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Shaw has scored at least a third of Mojave's points. Tony Williams was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Despite the loss, Las Vegas still got an impressive performance from Tayshaun Jackson, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakhai Jones, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Mojave's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-8. As for Las Vegas, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.
Mojave will square off against Spring Valley at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Spring Valley is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Las Vegas, they will take on Foothill at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Foothill knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Las Vegas likes a good challenge.
