Whitney Young has gone a perfect 9-0 against Lane Tech recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Whitney Young Dolphins will welcome the Lane Tech Champions at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Whitney Young is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Simeon: they outscored them in every quarter. Whitney Young was the clear victor by a 59-33 margin over Simeon on Saturday. The Dolphins haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Destiny Jackson was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 23 points and nine boards. The matchup was her sixth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Alana Shields, who posted five points and five steals.
Whitney Young smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 11 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Lane Tech over Orr in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Lane Tech blew Orr out of the water with a 68-40 final score. Winning may never get old, but the Champions sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Lane Tech's win came from a few key players Whitney Young will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Grace Bush, who went 7 of 13 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Lamperis, who earned ten points and three steals.
Lane Tech's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-11. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.7 points. As for Whitney Young, their victory bumped their record up to 20-8.
Keep an eye on the arc in Wednesday's contest: Whitney Young has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 37.6% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for Lane Tech, though, as they've only made 25.9% of their threes this season. Given Whitney Young's sizable advantage in that area, Lane Tech will need to find a way to close that gap.
