Williamson hasn't had much luck against Cowanesque Valley recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Warriors will challenge the Indians at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Williamson turned things around against Sayre on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Redskins, sneaking past 11-9. The Warriors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
The team relied heavily on Kohen VanDelinder, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2025. Landyn Carlin also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Cowanesque Valley got the win against Addison on Wednesday by a conclusive 22-8. Considering the Indians have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Dave Hess was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, six RBI, and four runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was William Kies, who went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.
Cowanesque Valley's record is now 12-1. As for Williamson, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-8.
Williamson might still be hurting after the 16-1 defeat they got from Cowanesque Valley when the teams last played back in March. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
