Shelton had a senior duo take command as Ashton Simmons scored 34 points along with 8 steals and Riley Bombeck scored 23 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Ben Myers was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Elm Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Shelton, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
