The Ayersville Pilots will square off against the Tinora Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ayersville is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.
On Tuesday, Ayersville got the win against Antwerp by a conclusive 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Pilots, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Kendra Waldron was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than 11 strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Danniella Coble was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Aeriel Brown was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
Ayersville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Antwerp only posted a batting average of .115.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Tinora ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over Hicksville. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Aces: they've now won seven in a row.
Like Ayersville, Tinora also got a great game from a two-way player: Zoe Billings. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing eight innings while giving up six earned runs off 11 hits. Billings was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madison Spangler, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Savannah Schroeder, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Ayersville's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Tinora, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-13.
Tinora's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Ayersville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 13.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Tinora, though, as they've been averaging only 4 strikeouts. Will Ayersville keep running through batters, or will the Rams buck the trend?
Ayersville came out on top in a nail-biter against Tinora in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, sneaking past 3-1. Will the Pilots repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
