Ridgecroft hadn't done well against Pungo Christian Academy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Rams put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 11-4 victory. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Lucas Cutchins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.

In other batting news, Ridgecroft let Landon Woodard and Ben Francis run wild. Woodard went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Francis got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Francis has become a key player for Ridgecroft: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dawson Collins, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Ridgecroft kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 8.8.

The win was the fourth in a row for Ridgecroft, bringing their record up to 11-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Pungo Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8.

As of now, neither Ridgecroft nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
