They enjoyed a cozy 56-38 victory over Lawrence County. Given West Point's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while Lawrence County is ranked 293rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lawrence County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kylie Graham, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds, and Ava Boyll who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her.
West Point is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Lawrence County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
West Point will look to defend their home court on Friday against Brewer at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Brewer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday. As for Lawrence County, they will head out on the road to face off against Russellville at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
