The Middle Park Panthers will face off against the Summit Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Summit took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Middle Park, who comes in off a win.
Middle Park is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Jefferson with a sharp 15-2 victory on Saturday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 11, 2024, but that streak is no more.
Diogui Laynes was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played.

Meanwhile, Summit fell victim to Eagle Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 6-0 to the Devils. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.
Summit's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Middle Park, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12.
Middle Park might still be hurting after the 14-1 defeat they got from Summit in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
