It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the North Rock Creek Cougars can now relate to. They were outmatched by Heritage Hall on the road and fell 55-13. While losing is never fun, North Rock Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Heritage Hall is ranked ninth).
Despite the loss, North Rock Creek still got an impressive performance from Caleb Hawkins, who rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Hawkins was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 59 yards.
North Rock Creek bumped their record down to 5-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.0 points per game. As for Heritage Hall, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
North Rock Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Heritage Hall will take on Berryhill at TBD on Friday. Berryhill is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
