Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Hammond Golden Bears, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against Glenelg on Friday, falling 46-18. Hammond's loss keeps them winless this season.
Hammond's defeat was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 0-10. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-2 Reservoir and 7-2 Mt. Hebron (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.6% over those games). As for Glenelg, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Hammond does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Glenelg will be playing at home against Wilde Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
