The Sun Valley Vanguards entered their tilt with the Freire Charter Dragon with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Sun Valley breezed by the Dragon at home to the tune of 64-30 on Tuesday. Given Sun Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Dragon are ranked 453rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Dragon players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jahmir Williams, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds.
Sun Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Freire Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.
